It all began in 2012 when a college student turned beauty queen found her voice and strength to really begin breaking her silence and share her story. After enduring childhood sexual abuse, she decided to begin her road to recovery and help others in the process. Brittney embarked on a personal journey of moving from a victim mindset to a survivor mindset. She went to support groups, networked with others through social media, and broke free of the chains that had held her captive for so long. The outpour from men and women was inspiring and sparked her desire to create Break the Silence: Victim to Victory, the official 501c3 non-profit organization.
Her passion grew even deeper when she began connecting with the other survivors and those who said they broke their silence all because of this Non-Profit. She courageously dove in head first and has since impacted the lives of thousands of victims, families of victims, and survivors who are no longer suffering in silence and now have the tools they need to recognize the signs, help others, and move forward with their life.
Brittney understood that survivors needed support more than ever and by creating a community of advocates, the connections become life-changing. Our programs are developed ensure your experience with us is transformative and memorable. We aim to educate, empower, and equip. We believe in the true value of partnering in order to further our mission and to give survivors a comprehensive plan to rebuild their lives following abuse.
